It’s been a while since I came back but can you please update PDFs to BT for download will Illustrations thanks. The last time I posted was back in 2015 it’s now going into 2022 and I know you might have forgotten will Life and Covid happening. Volume 3 is going to need a pdf as well once completed.
Just wondering, beyond the phrasing, is there any actual difference between volume 1 of the second Slash Dog light novel and the web novel beyond Freed and his master David making an appearance? (I have only read volume 2 of this light novel, since the first one was cancelled after 1 volume, but I think you already know that).
So far the biggest change was as explanation about Tobio’s parents in the prologue. The wth novel said he had no memory of them while the light novel said that they’re overseas.
Incidentally, I haven’t read anything from the canceled original novel. Everything here is from the reboot.

Anyways, any chance at leaving some indicator on how far through you are chapter-wise? It could be as simple as an asterisk (*) after each chapter on this page. Well, if you can’t or won’t, oh well, but it’d definitely be much appreciated for those of us who are impatient to read the “new” story.
The easiest way to tell is the Updates section on the side of the web browser version. If you’re on mobile, you can also look at the chapter titles. The finished chapters include the volume number in the title. As of now, it’s finished through chapter 3.
It’s a little confusing. You see, the first Slashdog publication was a free web novel, which I did translate a couple years ago. Within the past year though, Slashdog began to bee published as a light novel. The previously released web novel was therefore rereleased as a light novel, with some (mostly) minor edits and added illustrations. The story is mostly the same, but some details have changed. Currently, I am in the middle of updated the translation on my blog to match these changes.
Hello there JeruTz How are you. I know this may be off topic and out of line but i am have trouble finding a good place to buy physical copy’s of Light Novels. Do you happen to know any website that sells light novels that are not Digital downloads only. I am trying to buy all 12 volumes of Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sou Desu yo and the Second series just released call Last Embryo. Thanks for any Help you can give out of your busy life.
Short answer: Absolutely. Long answer: You can be damn sure that I absolutely would pick up Slashdog when Ishibumi gets around to publishing more.
In fact, to be perfectly honest, I enjoyed Slashdog more than I am currently enjoying EX. Hopefully he continues Slashdog as a web novel. If he makes it an LN it’ll be harder to get my hands on it.
Created the full text PDF. Sorry it took so long but I was having a harder time making a pdf for the whole thing since it would mean that the translation notes would be throughout. Then I remembered that B-T has a method for creating full text pages which does all the work for you. That made it a whole lot easier.

A slight misunderstanding. The original novel SLASH/DOG was released before DxD and is entirely unrelated. After DxD took off, Ishibumi incorporated some characters from his original work into DxD. THEN, he published Slashdog as rewritten version of his original novel set as a DxD prequel.
If you look at the illustrations for the original novel (I know they can be found at slashdog.wikia.com), you can see how certain aspects of the original differ compared to the reboot. For example, while I can’t be certain without reading it, it seems the original Utsusemi didn’t involve the students controlling monsters, but rather had them transforming parts of their bodies into those of monsters.
Okay but Why ? Did this Prequel only get 1 Volume release. If it was rewritten to be a prequel to Dxd then. was it not popular in japan or something. I know this may be totally unrelated to the topic but do you read Highschool of the Dead Manga or LN. Do you Know why the author he or she has not released any further works beyond chapter 30 of the manga since the whole tsunami disaster from 2011. I think it’s because they may be MIA during the Flood. But that is only my opinion and not the truth. thought maybe you might know something more since you seem very well informed. thanks for always replying to my comments unlike other forums that leave comments unanswered for weeks without a reply back. Let me explain. This wasn’t actually released as a volume. (The original slashdog was). This was released as a free Web novel online. It wasn’t released all at once, but in 9 separate installments, the last of which was only in march of this year.
Moreover, much of the Web novel was simply a rewrite of the original failed novel (with DxD characters and plot added in). My guess is that there is still a chance for more slashdog in the future, but whether it’ll as a Web novel or as a light novel I cannot say.
Hello and Thanks for the Translated Prequal to Highschool Dxd Light Novels. So my question to you would be can you add a PDF link to download it as a volume book if it is not to much trouble for you to do. Because i would like to read it on the go from my tablet but BT doe’s not have a way to download it unless you read it from there site. thanks
I could try to set up some links for you. Alternatively, there is a free app called Bakareader which I personally use which allows you to download anything posted to BT. That’s probably the fastest and most convenient way to download it
