New Chapter

Chapter 1 of Slashdog 3 is now live. And with Coronavirus keeping people home, you’ll all be done reading it in half a day I suppose.

Most of my delays in this chapter are from getting involved with other things. My pace has actually improved a lot since I first started translating when it would take me 2 months to translate a chapter. This time, I think I wrapped up the entirety of part 2 in this chapter in less than a week.

I am juggling another project, and even with the lockdowns my day job is still considered essential. I’d like to aim for updates at least once a month though. Stay tuned.

Read the chapter here.

    1. I’ve been well, but busy. I was fortunate enough to be able to work the entire time. Haven’t had as much time to devote to translations, but I’m going to try and change that.

      1. It’s fine, I’m glad your doing alright. I appreciate fact that even if your busy you keep on putting work into series. I’m rather enjoying SLASH DOG in general and admit I’m highly interested in Himejima clan and Suzaku.

  1. Hey, JeruTz,
I sent you a reply message that ended up on the Feb 4 Slashdog update page, but dated yesterday when I sent it. Its towards the bottom of the comments there. Please respond there, thanks.

  2. I made a reply to you earlier today, but since I wanted to post a comment on your Railgun PSP page, I replied to a Feb 4th answer of yours, which ended up on Slashdog update: loli Akeno. The comment is dated today. Everything is reply based, so it’s difficult to reply on the correct webpage. I look forward to all your answers & Railgun updates!

So, how much Kanji crap is there in the PSP Railgun game? Is it a simpler translation? If not, then where is Railgun in your priorities?

    1. There is still plenty of Kanji, but over 90% of it is dialogue, which is slightly easier than complex narrative. I’ve actually spent far more time recently on Railgun than on Slashdog. What’s slowing me down isn’t difficulty, it’s quantity. With Slashdog, I release relatively small segments at a time. With railgun, I have to translate far more text per release. Railgun chapter 3 was probably at least as long as multiple Slashdog chapters, possibly even a whole novel.

Also, until recently, I didn’t have a textual printout of the game’s dialogue. This meant that to look up a word I didn’t know was a tremendous pain. I have now rectified that issue and have made tremendous progress.

My current intention is to release the rest of Railgun all at once. My current pace puts that as being at some point this summer.

  4. Way back in Semptember 17, you said that you will probably be returning back to Railgun on PSP. Damn, I’d even pay for a physical translation and am still waiting. What is Slashdog anyways? I’ve never seen it advertised or spoken of outside of your site.

    1. I haven’t abandoned Railgun. But I’ll be posting most of the remainder all at once.

Slashdog is a spinoff from a light novel series called High School DxD, which has 4 anime seasons.
